Right use of fertilizer application awareness program

            KVK Thoothukudi organized an awareness programme on Right use of fertilizers to the farmers of Thoothukudi district. About 150 farmers from various part of district participated in this programme.

            Senior Scientist and Head of KVK Dr. V. Srinivasan have delivered Inaugural address. Mrs. Vasanthi Iraivan, Asst. Director of Agriculture (Quality Control) and Mrs. Malarvizhi Agricultural officer (Quality Control) were delivered felicitation address. Technical lectures on Soil health management, Importance of Soil testing, judicious use of fertilizer and Importance of Bio fertilizer were delivered by KVK Specialists. Soil Health Cards were distributed to the farmers in this programme.   

            Video films on Integrated Nutrient Management and Organic farming were shown to farmers. KVK has made arrangements to telecast the live speech of Honorable Minister of Agriculture and farmers’ welfare to the farmers.
