Jal Sakthi Abiyan Mini Kisan Mela was organised at Padukkapathu

            KVK Thoothukudi organised Jal Sakthi Abhiyan Kisan Mela at Padukkapattu village. This Mela was presided by the Mr.Sandeep Nanduri, IAS, District Collector Thoothukudi, Mr. Pranav khullar, Central Nodal Officer and Mrs. Joya , Block Nodel Officer from JSA Central Team also graced the occasion .  Line department officials from department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, and Agriculture Engineering , Block development officers and other officials participated and arranged an exhibition on behalf of their department activities . 

            Mass Tree Planting Campaign was organised on that day in coordination with Rural Development department. The Chief Guests planted trees and flagged the campaign. One thousand trees were planted on that day with the involvement of school and college students. Then the Chief Guests visited the Live demonstration units established by KVK and line departments. Specimens were displayed  relevant to the Theme of water conservation practices.  About 600 farmers, officials and students were participated in this mini mela. Technical lectures on water conservation practices and water use efficiency were delivered to the farmers by the KVK experts.
